How It’s Made
From our garden
to your jar.
There’s no factory and no shortcut behind an InVine balm. We grow the herbs, harvest them by hand, dry them slowly, and infuse the whole plant in organic oil for weeks before a single jar is poured. Watch the whole journey, start to finish.

Seven steps, the timeless way
- 01
We grow it
Every herb in our formulas — every one but black pepper — is grown in our own garden in Tallahassee, Florida. Lemongrass, lemon balm, rosemary, the mints, basil, ginger, turmeric, echinacea, moringa, and more, tended by hand through the season.
- 02
Harvest at peak
Herbs are handpicked at peak freshness and potency — cut into baskets the same way you'd gather them for your own kitchen, at the moment the plant is most vibrant.
- 03
Dry on screen racks
Cut herbs dry slowly on screen racks for 4–9 days depending on the plant, in a climate-controlled room held around 76°F at 35% humidity, in the dark with circulation fans running. Low humidity and no light preserve the botanical profile and keep the color and aroma intact.
- 04
Slow-infuse, whole
The whole dried herbs steep in cold-extracted organic olive and coconut oils for 6–8 weeks depending on the herb — always in cool, dark conditions around 74°F, never in sunlight. We infuse the whole herb rather than diluting essential oils, so the oil itself becomes the botanical base of every formula.
- 05
Strain
Once the infusion is complete, each batch of oil is strained — slowly, through fine mesh — leaving a clear, golden, herb-infused oil ready to become balm.
- 06
Blend & pour by hand
The warmed infused oil is blended with pure beeswax — which sets the balm's structure — and Vitamin E, a natural antioxidant that keeps the oil fresh. Then every jar is poured and capped by hand in small batches.
- 07
Label, date & send
Each jar is finished with a printed label marking its batch number and infusion date, so every formula is traceable back to its harvest. We make small batches regularly and never stockpile — so the jar that reaches you is fresh.
Small batches, never stockpiled.
Why we do it this way
Instead of industry certificates, we offer something more meaningful: genuine transparency. You’ll always know where our herbs come from — our own garden — how they’re grown, and the mindful process behind every jar. Growing and infusing whole herbs takes months longer than blending pre-made essential oils, but it’s the difference between skincare that’s truly plant-based and skincare that just says so.
Good to Know
Questions about how we make it
- Are InVine's herbs really grown by you?
- Yes. Every herb in our formulas is grown in our own garden in Tallahassee, Florida — the only ingredient we don't grow is black pepper. Our beeswax comes from a local Tallahassee beekeeper, and our organic carrier oils, essential oils, and Vitamin E are sourced from trusted suppliers.
- How long are the herbs infused?
- Whole dried herbs are slow-infused in cold-extracted organic oils for 6–8 weeks, depending on the herb, always in cool and dark conditions — never in sunlight.
- Where are InVine Botanicals products made?
- Everything is grown, infused, and hand-poured in small batches in Tallahassee, Florida.
- Do you use synthetic preservatives?
- No. We blend in Vitamin E as a natural antioxidant to keep the infused oil fresh, and we make small batches regularly rather than stockpiling. Our products are free from synthetics, fillers, alcohol, parabens, and artificial fragrances.
- Why infuse the whole herb instead of using essential oils?
- Most balms dilute a few essential oils into a carrier oil. We steep the whole dried herb in organic oil for weeks so the oil itself carries the plant's complete botanical profile — that infused oil becomes the base of every formula.
